Benetton upgrades to Star TSP100 futurePRNT Thermal Receipt Printer

Established in 1965, Benetton is now controlled by Edizione Holding (a holding company wholly owned by the Benetton Family) with a 67% stake.

Present in 120 countries around the world Benetton has a strong italian character whose style, quality and passion are clearly seen in its brands: the casual United Colors of Benetton, fashion oriented Sisley and the leisurewear and streetwear brands Playlife and Killer Loop.

The Group has a total yearly production of around 150 million garments and a distribution network with 5,000 contemporary stores, mainly managed by independent partners, generating a total turnover of over 1.9 billion euro.

Within its stores, the company has recently taken the decision to upgrade its POS printers from the TSP600 from international printer manufacturer Star Micronics to the revolutionary TSP100 futurePRNT ™.

By choosing the TSP100 futurePRNT Benetton now benefits from high speed printing, exceptional print quality and a range of unique features. A highly sophisticated and cost effective thermal printer, the TSP100 futurePRNT printer provides a number of software tools at no extra cost.

These enable the overall appearance of receipts to be easily modified and customers to be effectively targeted through the addition of relevant coupons.

Supplied by leading systems integrator DigiPOS, a number of printers have to date been installed in the Benetton flagship stores.

Mark Bishop, UK IT Manager, Benetton Retail states, “Having experienced high performance and excellent reliability from the TSP600 it was an obvious choice to upgrade to the TSP100 futurePRNT. Given its compatibility with JavaPOS™ and its space saving properties not to mention the excellent software tools provided with the printer, the TSP100 futurePRNT has proved to be the ideal solution.”
